I need help!

Hey friends, I need some help.

I need about 20 people to do some very easy data entry for me on May 3rd, 4th and 5th. I will send you instructions on the morning of May 3rd but this is very easy work. It’s just looking at images and then clicking dropdown menus in a spreadsheet to assign the descriptions of the images. All you need is your computer and a browser and you can do this work virtually from anywhere you’d like.

I am paying $50 per 100 images. There are 10,000 images total to assign data for.
We’re estimating it will take about 2 minutes per image so this comes out to about 3.3 hours and roughly $15 an hour.

You’ll just need to send an invoice to me once your work is done. Payments will be sent the following week after May 10th. Please fill out the form if you’re interested and available. Thank you in advance!

On May 2nd 2023, artist Jeremy Cowart will create AURAS, which will be 10,000 completely unique NFT's produced in 20 minutes start to finish without relying on generative code or AI. It will also be the first time Cowart has ever publicly revealed his creative process that he has spent 10 years privately developing in his studio. It’s the kind of thing that you have to see to believe. You can witness AURAS live in-person or stream for free online. Tickets below.

The Artist as the Canvas

Cowart himself will be the blank canvas, wearing all white, including a white mask. He will use his patent-pending lighting techniques, robotics, multiple layers of projection, including a state of the art 130-foot, 5 million dollar LED volume screen behind him.

IRL Rarity Traits
Cowart is taking rarity to historic new levels by doing it all himself without a team, doing it live, and doing it without using AI, generative code or software of any kind.

In PFP projects, rarity traits can be things like backgrounds, hair, the colors of the shirt or jewelry, etc. This is done with hired illustrators and then generative code to produce the randomized, individual tokens.

But with AURAS, it’s all being performed live. The lighting setups, the things Cowart does during the performance, the robotics he invented, the things that happen around him, the art being projected behind him, in front of him and onto his body are all just part of the live rarity traits that will be built into the process. This wild process will be unlike anything the NFT community has ever seen before.

Most importantly, all of the hundreds of images being projected during the performance have been created by Cowart over many years. Paintings, drawings, photographs… they’re all a part of his projected rarity layers.

ARTIST STATEMENT

β€œIt's remarkable to consider that, as individuals, we likely hold disagreements on over 100 different topics with any given person. Yet, it's often just one single topic that leads us to build divides, end friendships, cancel, mute, or unfollow each other. In today's world, where we are more connected than ever before, we paradoxically find ourselves increasingly lonely. We doom scroll endlessly and are plagued by historic rates of depression and suicide.

Moving forward, empathy is the way. We must strive to understand the unique journey that each person has taken and the context that informs their beliefs and values. Eagerly learning each other's story is everything.

These are the ideas that weigh heavily on my mind. It's not simply a desire to come across as a good person - I genuinely love and value people from all backgrounds and identities. AURAS is my creative attempt to express this love and to honor the diversity and complexity of the human experience.”
