On May 2nd 2023, Award-winning artist and photographer Jeremy Cowart will create 10,000 completely unique NFT's in less than 20 minutes without relying on generative code or AI. AURAS aims to be a historic event for the Web3 and NFT communities.
The Artist as the Canvas
Doxxing his entire process and captured as the default PFP, Cowart himself will be the blank canvas, wearing all white, including a white mask. He will use his patent-pending lighting techniques, 3 layers of projection, including a state of the art 130-foot, 5 million dollar LED projection screen behind him (screen seen below). For the first time ever, he will reveal his creative process that’s been over a decade in the making.
Mint
Mint date for AURAS is Tuesday, May 9th on OpenSea. The price for AURAS is TBD. We will announce final mint price as we get closer to the mint date.

Quantity
Cowart will mint 10,000 tokens. 999 will be a free mint for all Block Queens holders, Jeremy’s original NFT project from 2022. An additional 301 will be held in the artist vault. 8,700 will be available for public mint.
IRL Rarity Traits
Cowart is taking rarity to historic new levels by doing it all himself without a team, doing it live, and doing it without using AI, generative code or software of any kind.
In PFP projects, rarity traits can be things like backgrounds, hair, the colors of the shirt or jewelry, etc. This is done with hired illustrators and then generative code to produce the randomized, individual tokens.
The lighting setups, the things he does during the performance, the things that happen around him, the backgrounds being projected, the foregrounds, the editing, the “AURAS” being projected onto his body and so much more… are all just part of the live rarity traits that will be built into the process, creating a unique experience unlike anything the CT (crypto twitter) & Web3 community have ever seen before.
Most importantly, all of the hundreds of images being projected during the performance have been created by Cowart over many years. Paintings, drawings, polaroids, photographs… they’re all a part of his projected rarity layers.

“It's remarkable to consider that, as individuals, we likely hold disagreements on over 100 different topics with any given person. Yet, it's often just one single topic that leads us to build divides, end friendships, cancel, mute, or unfollow each other. In today's world, where we are more connected than ever before, we paradoxically find ourselves increasingly lonely. We doom scroll endlessly and are plagued by historic rates of depression and suicide.
Moving forward, empathy is the way. We must strive to understand the unique journey that each person has taken and the context that informs their beliefs and values. Eagerly learning each other's story is everything.
These are the ideas that weigh heavily on my mind. It's not simply a desire to come across as a good person - I genuinely love and value people from all backgrounds and identities. AURAS is my creative attempt to express this love and to honor the diversity and complexity of the human experience.”

II: Beat the bear
Cowart’s Feb 2022 project Block Queens (999 tokens), which sold out in 2 seconds at 0.22 ETH, has held steady or above mint price throughout the devastating bear market of 22-23, proving that he’s a stable artist that people trust and are willing to bet on. The vast majority of other large projects have gone to zero during this time.
III: A Year in Portraits
Cowart spent 2022 creating “A Year in Portraits”, a year-long portrait project at NFT NYC, NFT LA and VeeCon in which he photographed over 500 artist, creators, founders and collectors in Web3, establishing priceless rapport and credibility amongst his peers. Mark Cuban, Spike Lee, Logan Paul, Gary Vee, Beeple, Refik Anadol, Yam Karkai, Drift, Fewocious, GMoney, Tyler Hobbs and Eva Longoria were all blown away by Cowart’s creative process, with many of them referring to it as their “favorite experience from the conference”.
