Be Unafraid campaign

In the spring of 2018, Catholic Relief Services approached Jeremy Cowart to come up with an idea to creatively frame the national refugee conversation. Jeremy thought it would be interesting to have refugees chat face to face with strangers who were afraid of or against the idea of refugees entering our country entirely. The results showed the power of what happens when we talk through our differences in person versus online. Healing, forgiveness, understanding and reconciliation took place right in front of the camera in nearly every encounter. The project took place over 3 days in Jeremy’s studio.
